After the parade reached the Main Stage at Euclid & Maryland, the troupe from Consuming Kinetics Dance Company performed a couple of Halloween-themed routines, followed by a performance by Enchanted Events’ Elsa, left, and Anna, who sang their beautiful interpretation of Let it Go from Frozen.
People of all ages enjoyed singing along with the actresses, making the same arm gestures and, right on cue, stamping a foot. Watching how passionately the girls (especially) and their parents, above and below, sang along, made me realize what an impact this song has made over the years.
Joe Fingerhut has been a fan favorite at the Kids Parade for the past 10 years. His annual rendition of the Bee Gees’ Stayin’ Alive never fails to bring out the disco moves in the audience.
Shopkeepers around Maryland Plaza, including Mike’s Bikes, above, and Esther & Mila, below, handed out treats for the kids.
Bob Kramer, founder of the CWE’s Bob Kramer’s Marionnettes and an assistant puppeteer, right, entertained the kids against the backdrop of an impressive Halloween display by Brake Landscaping that was used for photo ops throughout the day and evening.
