So much well-deserved emphasis has been placed on viewing the windows created for St. Louis Shakespeare Festival’s A Walking Xmas Tale that you may have missed the many fantastic shop windows around the CWE that are also all dressed up for the holidays.
Many were designed by St. Louis-based decorators—others by talented proprietors and their staff—so if you haven’t taken a tour as yet, get out and enjoy the scene before the props are packed up and put away.
Here is a link to the designers who participated.
Thanks to the CWE North Community Improvement District (CWEScene) for gathering the designers and organizing all of the entertainment for another fabulous season of Window Walk in the neighborhood.
Nicki and Friends…as a
Central West Ender and Mc Pherson Boulevard Lover, your spirited creativity made my heart sing in Scottsdale. Planning St Louie summer reunions. Hope springs eternal to visit and honor
the International Chess Homes with chess playing Rafael, age 12, who now outplays his Ms Claus n Maya, age 70! Scrabble finesse is mine! Besos
These are wonderful creative expressions that have meant a great deal to our community in this very unusual Holiday Season. Many thanks to the people who promoted and participated in this effort! I saw a great many viewers, adults and children, enjoying the windows and the entire neighborhood.
It was a great idea & should become an annual event. It would be great if you could find an electric train enthusiast who might be willing to do a train window.
Nicki thank you for keeping the Central West End alive in my heart here in Saint Augustine, Florida. I remember fondly helping organize and participating in the first Window Walk when I was President of Health Literacy Missouri in our offices in the Terrace Building on Euclid. I think we even won a ribbon!
It’s been a terrific series of postings that really captures the heart and soul of the CWE. Much peace and happiness to you and to all your readers. Arthur Culbert
