The Central
West End Historic District (a local historic district) and related design and
construction standards were adopted in 1979 and have played a critical role
over the ensuing decades in maintaining the design integrity and historic
character of the built environment as the neighborhood has evolved. Now, after
years of effort on the part of many, the standards have been updated to make
them more “user friendly” and to incorporate policies and refinements that have
developed over the years since they were first created.
Please plan to
attend this public forum to learn about the new standards and how they will
influence the ongoing development of the CWE.
