Beatrice Angheluta Antonenko, above, was one of three face painters who volunteered to help with the children's parade. She cleverly painted possible choices on her arm, above, so the kids could choose which design they preferred.
Hazel Simmons, right, was another face painter extraordinaire.
And CWEnder Bridget Collins, above, was the third artiste who pitched in to help.

Thanks again to 28th Ward Alderman Lyda Krewson for supporting the parade, Straub's for providing lemonade and ice, The Vino Gallery for coffee and cookies at the parade's starting gate, froYo, and members of the Central West End Association board and many neighbors who volunteered to help make the parade the stellar event that it was.
A special thanks to the firemen from Engine House 28 who not only led the parade but let the kids climb into the truck. CWEnder Laura Lock suggested making a donation to the first responders in gratitude for all that they do to keep the neighborhood safe. I think it's a great idea and here is a link to Responders Rescue.
As one neighbor said as she packed up her kids and headed home, "This is my favorite CWE event. It's simple, short and sweet." I couldn't agree more.
