In the wake of this weekend’s extensive storm and tornado damage, our City and our community are still working hard to provide much-needed relief to our neighborhoods. Please see below for updates on the city’s efforts, important information for all residents, and ways to both offer help and receive it. |
As the effort to restore services and clean up debris across our city continues this week, we’re asking city residents to help do their part by ensuring that our roads remain as clear as possible and cell phone communication is kept to a minimum. Please be mindful of doing what you can to support our work crews, and thank you all for your patience as we build back infrastructure. |
For those of you who are interested in taking an active hand in cleanup efforts across our city, Forestry and Parks have designated a number of areas as drop-off spots for debris, including one in the Central West End. Please refer to the locations above when dropping off debris in-person, or create piles of debris on the side of the road and report them to the Citizens Service Bureau. |
This weekend’s curfew in Police Districts 5 and 6 has been extended until further notice, impacting parts of Vandeventer and the Central West End. Please avoid unnecessary travel in those areas, and stay indoors after 9:00 p.m. |
The late, great Mr. Rogers famously asked people to look for the helpers during any disaster. While scenes of destruction surround us in the wake of the deadly tornado, the streets were full of people helping each other these past two days. From our fire fighters and police to our Streets and Forestry departments, St. Louis showed the world who we are. I’m proud of us, and despite the heartbreak, I know we will recover from this the same way we always do: with neighbor helping neighbor. |
Insurance Claims Assistance

I have heard from a number of constituents that insurance companies are giving them an especially hard time, and Senator Hawley has encouraged Missourians to contact his office if their insurance companies are giving them grief in the wake of this tornado. To reach out for assistance, click the button below, or email the Senator at [email protected].gov. |
I plan on posting continued updates on progress towards recovery on my social media in the days to come. For real-time updates, consider following me at the link below. |
