If you live in the area, you may have gotten a postcard announcing a new post office opening at Eagle Bank and Trust, 4100 Lindell Blvd. at Sarah. Shown at the ribbon cutting ceremony Monday, February 22, are from left: Eagle Bank's Communications Director Don Reeves, Relationship Manager Debbie Lessor, Branch Manager Shelly Conley, and Eagle Bank President Jim Hall.
This new post office location is just several blocks, but light years away from the Marion Oldham Post Office at 4021 Laclede, where it's almost impossible to get in and out in a reasonable amount of time.
I've stopped in twice and am pleased to tell you that you can accomplish everything here that you can at a regular post office, except purchase money orders, which you can buy from a bank teller, when he (Teller Supervisor Joshua Schilling, shown above) isn't selling you stamps. The last pickup at the new post office is 4 p.m. There is also ample free parking on the lot adjacent to the building.
Going to the post office has suddenly become a pleasure.
