I am beginning to wonder what I have unleashed (see Monday's post). Librarian Spruce Fraser stopped by Left Bank Books Thursday to pick up a lovely stash of yarn, above, collected for for the Impromptu Knitting Group at Central Library. And then this morning (Saturday) I met her at the main library to unload additional bags and bags of yarn that must have come from someone who owned a yarn shop – seriously.
Thanks to all who took the time to stop by Left Bank Books with your contributions. As a result of the tremendous response, the yarn collection project will end tomorrow, Sunday, instead of Tuesday, March 31.
Spruce sent the following: The yarn donations are much appreciated by the homeless and I am so thankful to all who care about them.
And as a thank you to Kris Kleindienst and the staff of Left Bank Books for their generosity, why not stop in and buy a book? Thank you so much!
