Here's a "stadium plan" we can all agree on: Christian, above, manager of The Moonshine Grill, #5 Maryland Plaza, sent photos of an edible stadium the restaurant constructed for a Super Bowl party, see photos below.
The stands are constructed of an assortment of Moonshine's special subs including spicy Italian "A Touch of the Hill," California Turkey Club, Red Bird (turkey & capicola), roast beef, and ham.
The field contains chips, bean dip, tomatoes, peppers, shredded lettuce and more. The stadium as shown feeds 20 and costs $200. Smaller stadiums are on the drawing boards, just ask.
The diner-style restaurant opened a couple of years ago as Subliminal Subs. Proprietors Don Schaefer and Mike Pace changed the name, revamped the menu (neighbors rave about the hamburgers, $8.50), and added a full bar. The bar menu features signature drinks made with "moonshine." "River Water" mixes Blackberry & Blueberry Moonshine with cranberry & orange juices, $10 ($1.50 less during Happy Hours from 5-7).
Moonshine Grill is open for breakfast every day but Monday when the restaurant is closed (that will change when springtime arrives). Saturday and Sunday breakfasts are extremely popular (see menu here).
