Just before Thanksgiving Jim and I attended a taste-testing event at Froyo that was organized by CWE-based Bazaarboy.com. As we walked in the door we whispered to each other, "Well, here go the demographics…" In reality, there were so many under-30 somethings – 150 throughout the evening – sampling 4 new flavors Froyo had created for the winter season, it turned out we didn't tip the balance much at all. What was especially energizing was seeing the large number of young people who live or like to hang out in the neighborhood. Almost all currently attend or have recently graduated from Washington University, WU Medical Center or St. Louis University. And the Bazaarboys know how to get this demographic out to events.
Eric Hamblett, above, and his partners organized the free event at each of the Froyo locations in St. Louis: on Maryland at Euclid, in the Loop and in Ladue. Bazaarboy.com publicized the event, took the rsvps, and had one partner at each location to check respondents in electronically and make sure the events ran smoothly and, most importantly, that the Froyo team was happy.
A Froyo staffer was busy handing out unmarked taster-size cups of Pumpkin Spice Latte, Mountain Mint Chocolate, Chocolate La Rouge and Pumpkin Cranberry Bread, which attendees were asked to rank in order of preference.
If you guessed that the chocolate flavors won out, you'd be correct…Mountain Mint Chocolate and Chocolate La Rouge were the hands-down winners.
As a thank you for participating, everyone received a cup of Froyo
(which I overheard someone say was his dinner), and a coupon for a future visit. A post-event recap with photography by Bazaarboy Chris Holt can be viewed here: www.bazaarboy.com/event/80

I spoke with Eric while I was there and I was extremely impressed with Bazaarboy. The Marketing even for the 30’s plus crowd like myself was very impressive! I am going to contact them for some upcoming events in which I am involved. Great evening and even better Froyo!!!!
