As a tip of the hat to the World Chess Hall of Fame's current exhibition, The Queen Within, the King was transformed into a Queen for the holidays! Very clever work by the Q Boutique/WCHOF staff.
Melanie Rowe, shop manager for Ivy Hill's CWE location, was given free rein to decorate the shop's window for the holidays. Employing her training as a retail merchandising and product development major at Florida State, Melanie used strips of shimmery wrapping paper to create three "out there" party dresses. She wanted the window to relate to some of the merchandise the shop offers – fun dresses for every occasion.
It took a couple of days to make each dress. Fellow shop employees assisted Melanie by cutting strips of wrapping paper and hanging ornaments and placing gifts in the window. Stop by to view Melanie's work up close. The dresses are stunning!
Jeannie Hood of Three French Hens added a designer's touch to the windows at Coffee Cartel, open 24 hours a day at Euclid & Maryland.
froYo's cheerful window is strung with evergreen roping that is decorated with ornaments. A beautiful Christmas tree is visible through the window, above.
The dramatic windows at Derek and Lucas Gamlin's SubZero Vodka Bar, 308 N. Euclid, above and below, were also decorated by the staff.
Proprietor Chris Lanter and his staff have filled 10denza's windows, 44 Maryland Plaza, with practical but always hip attire and accessories for a ski weekend or walk in Forest Park, above, while the other showcases a festive display of beautiful clothing for apres ski or holiday parties, below.
Tamsin Mascetti of Tamsin Design Group decorated Scape's windows with simple lighted trees and a mannequin dressed in white, below, providing a simple but lovely holiday look.
The mannequin seems to be standing in a bed of white poinsettias that fill window boxes outside the restaurant at 48 Maryland Plaza.
Krista Howard of Krista Howard Interiors teamed with Brennan's to decorate the three-story bar/restaurant's holiday window at 4659 Maryland.
More holiday windows tomorrow. Voting for the Window Walk Contest ends December 26.
