After witnessing reports of the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy on the east coast, it is with mixed emotions that I post more snapshots of happy moments from Saturday's Halloween festivities in a sunny CWE.
The couple and their dogs shown in the photograph above were among the prize winners for best costume in the 2012 Halloween Dog Parade. They were all dressed as ghosts in honor of their "ghost" dog who passed away earlier this year.
Not being a dog owner, it boggles my mind that canines seem content wearing costumes. From the photographs that follow however, you'll see that it does seem that most of them are comfortable dressing up…at least for a day.
The judges, sporting silver wigs included Post-Dispatch columnist Bill McClellan, Libby's Rose Sullivan, Paul Mitchell Salon's Michelle Clark and Kritter Kare Pet Sitting's Jennifer Kreps. The pup in the flipper get-up, above, also won a prize.
The next post will show canines strutting their stuff on the catwalk!
So nice to see something to smile about!
